It made me laugh, made me mad, made me mad, made me mad, and made me mad. I've come to accept the sick dynamic the story was going through so much plot twists and when I force myself to hate the characters, I couldn't and maybe that was what made me mad. At some point all their actions justified one way or another though it felt a pang on the chest that it had to come to that point of going back to forth with becoming enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers to enemies. The steering message it really aims to pull was finding your own self and owning it up without anyone to decide for you, it was forcing you to change. Reminds me of a Phoenix rising out of the ashes, typical, but I guess it existed for a reason.

  • i regret every single second i spent on this book and on it's previous installment
  • cannot express the sheer frustration
  • it tries its hardest to build on the flimsy ass foundations from the first one so of course it all falls apart
  • a literal drag
  • the main romance is completely unfounded, it's just like why? what is the reason??
  • they have absolutely no reason to be attracted to each other, or to even trust each other at this point, they're just 2 stupid fucking hets so why don't we throw them together in a weird semblance of a romance
  • the characters are so flat please, they don't have character, or personalities, they're just names on a piece of paper at this point
  • also where are the fucking content/trigger warnings??
