I enjoyed the concept of this book. I liked the way time worked and thought it was quite unique.

That being said, this book seemed almost predictable. Everyone believes Jules. No one ever questions that she might be insane. She says she's the Alchemist and everyone is like "oh OK. Yea, you're the Alchemist." Even though the Alchemist has always been viewed as evil in all of the old stories, everyone believes her and that she's only there to do right by Sempera.

I really just struggled with the plot in this book. It wasn't a bad book, by any means. Just incredibly predictable.

Funny how I've had this book on my shelf for years and never read it.
I honestly forgot if I read the first book or not, according to goodreads I did so I read a summary and it did reminded me of the story.
So I started this book and thought it was quite entertaining. Which makes me wonder why I forgot I read the first book hahahaha
Although, judging by other reviews, the 2nd book is a lot better so maybe that's why.

Much like book one I wasn’t really feeling the story but really enjoyed the end. I feel like a lot of things didn’t add up or make sense and while a lot happened it also felt like nothing was really happening. I wish this book had been so much more but it was still an overall alright story I just do not like Jules’s attitude and the way she does things - half her decisions seemed ridiculous and unrealistic.

Deaj, deaj, DEAAAAAJJJJ. No. ¿Me arrepiento? Si.

I put off reading this book for like 3 years and I was severely disappointed.
I enjoyed the main character and her inner thoughts were quite interesting to read but ALL of the other characters were so flat and boring (also, we never find out what happens to half of them)

I really wanted to like this book because I loved Everless. But I found this one quite hard to get into. I found myself skimming most of the time. The story is still really good. I love the story, but there’s something in the writing style that turned me off. There were too many flashbacks that the author could have executed better. But I admire her effort in trying. It’s very difficult to write flashbacks and memories.

The love between Liam and Jules is not convincing to me. It just seemed like they were in love all of a sudden. More like an obsession on Liam’s part than anything.

That said, it is a great story. If you like her writing style, you’ll probably love the book.

Good ending to an awesome series. I really enjoyed this fantasy duolgy. It’s such a good, atmospheric ride.

The character growth was great. The plot was good. That ending though

umm that ending????????? Also, the author really didn't do the couple justice with the way she developed it. It could have been so much better.
