Mystery thriller centred on returning home 20-something years after the fact. Plenty of decent tropes. Mixed bag of plot twists. Pacing was better from the second half of the book but overall fun read.

The story is really layered, intense, and extremely well put together.
I had a handful of plot twists come up; but only a couple i predicted.. until i kept reading and my theories were shattered.

Betrayal. Survival. Friendship, and the truth of trusting someone being based on patterns but complete only with taking the final step in faith.

An amazing read.

This might be the most delulu book I’ve ever read.

So you’re telling me a group of girls finds a body in the woods (which would absolutely not be just bones at that point, hello decomposition) and just decide to…. Play with it? And AS ADULTS they STILL decide no one else should know about this dead person in the woods?!?!

And beyond the girls, multiple adults know about an actual murder and an attempted murder and NO ONE THINKS IT WOULD BE WISE TO SAY SOMETHING TO THE POLICE.

The amount of stupid decisions made be every single character in this book absolutely ruined me. Don’t even get me started on the fact that it’s a copycat story.

Dude shut uppp what the ffff this is so good. I was so stressed out by the end of it that I was pacing around the room. And then I had to sketch the whole plot out for my partner because I had to tell someone all of the great twists and turns. I can't wait to read more by Ms. Marshall. What a super freaking fun time.

Just the kind of dark and twisty I didn’t know I needed. Saw a few of the plot twists coming and some I knew there was something more but wasn’t sure how they were connected until the reveal at the end.

Again with the amnesia with this one. Not mad about it though. And with the podcaster sidekick. Enjoyed this one more than the last though. Had no idea what I was getting myself into with this story. Literally just looked for available mystery/thrillers in Libby and 🎉 tada!🎉

Will definitely be checking out the authors other books. 🤞🏻I feel the same way about the others.

Even though it was a little predictable, I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes figuring out the answers ahead of time gives you satisfaction instead of annoyance, and there were enough twists that I didn't see them all coming.

I don't read thrillers often so I'm probably not the best reviewer for it but it was pretty good as far as tension and mystery.

The spice level was good for me (fade to black).
