4 stories about women living in New York in the 90s. Very much a product of it's time - reductive/derogatory towards men and women. Characters are completely unrelatable but you can't fantasise about being them because their lives are so undesirable.
It made me very sad to read that all of the characters are depressed because they are dating/married for money or status

Could hardly finish this. These women give women a BAD NAME. Vapid, selfish, manipulative. UGH.

She is a horrible writer. Read the books bc I love Sex and the City, but does not compare. Character has no depth. Writes about money and the hamptons...

I think I lost IQ points reading that.

I couldn't get into this book. It was four separate stories, and I think I read two of them. I didn't like the female characters and could have cared less about them.

Tā arī neizlasīju līdz galam. Varones liek zaudēt interesi jau pēc 2 rindkopām, un, lai gan gribēju 4 varoņu mijiedarbību, dabūju 4 atsevišķus un seklus stāstiņus.

Awful. Just awful. But I was on the beach so I read it.

Should have known I wouldn't like this one either. I despised the characters. They were annoying and a waste of time. I didn't care what happened to them. Didn't like the format either because I don't think it allowed people who actually liked the characters (if said people exist)to get invested because every other page they changed something drastic and then the book was over. It turns out I'm not a big fan of Bushnell but I have a handful of other books and am OCD which means I'll probably end up reading them and hating them anyway. I bring this on myself...

The first half of the book was good - easy read, gossipy, enjoyable. The second half was unbearable. I couldn't make it through the "socialite" section. Gave up.
