This was okay. Not a lot to it, and the story was pretty muddled.

Ugh that was difficult to get through. The art was horrible…beyond horrible. The story was impossibly cringe, just an all around terrible experience.

So I picked up a load of graphic novels from my library today and thought I'd delve more into superhero ones as, although I love the movies, I never really READ much about them.
I found it funny that I've been on an alternative political kick in theme of late. First AHS: Cult and now this. The political theme in Vote Loki was interesting as you really see how manipulative he is, but it wasn't incredibly a driving theme for me, in the long run. I don't get why Loki stuck around Nisa, other than plot. I feel like more could have been done.
It was a bit cheeky having the front cover look a bit like Tom Hiddleston because the inside art (like most cases) looked way different. Speaking about art, I wasn't too keen on the style. Now that's just my own tastes but for a comic, manga, etc, art is a big thing for me as it helps deliver the story, so if I don't like it, I tend to feel disconnected.
I'm very out of touch with the whole swapping gender things. Why is Thor a woman in this? I missed that whole thing and feel like knowing that would have made me less confused now.
I love how the last pages were filled with concept art but as well as that we got to see the first debut issues that featured Loki, back in the day (1963).
Just love how Thor had a mortal component to his superhuman side. A very traditionally superhero vibe, which I think was the go to thing for superheroes back in the day, having a disguise.
I was reading some of the older scenes to my mum and said, rather sarcastically that it was absolutely riveting (which I'm sure it would have been in it's prime time) and my mum blankly came out with "sounds boring to me" BURN. She has no filter.

Anyway, it was an enjoyable read. Loki is one of my favourite characters so it was just nice to know another story about him than just what I see in the films.

Pick it up, give it a go and enjoy! >(^_^)<

Well, I got baited by the cover art (whose creators did not draw the rest of this pointless story).

I see what the writers were trying to do with the heavy-handed allusions to the 2016 elections but I feel as though it's trying to compare chaotic green apples to bigoted oranges. I appreciate that this gave way to a live-action President Loki and I found the variant covers to be gorgeous but aside from that, the actual story and main artwork were deeply underwhelming. It wasn't the worst thing I've read this year but it wasn't good either.

Personally don’t like looking at the art but it’s well done and I like everything else.
