Unbelievably beautiful. Every poem was heaven (of course, they are all made of you). My best secondhand bookshop find ever, feels like fate. Rumi, your words wrapped themselves around me like arms and held me in place.
I said to my lover: 'don't be alarmed when you notice all the poems are about you. It seems these muses haven't changed so much since the 1200's, you're all still beautiful and made of flowers and gold and so easy to write about with love'. How wonderful it is to love someone so devotedly. I always find a way to make the words about you (a poem is just four walls...)

I've read a few Rumi poems before and I thought I would enjoy these poems more than I than I ended doing so. I'm not too sure if it's my lack of knowledge on Sufism or the translation but I couldn't really connect to many poems.

A beautiful edition though!

Such beauuttiffuull writing.

The poems were all just beautiful.

However, although I appreciated the beauty of the writing the poems really didn't do anything for me.

I found them all very easy to read and understand though.

This was surprisingly really good and emotion provoking. I am not a huge fan of poetry and I really don’t like modern poetry but this was a well written, old style of writing (obviously written hundreds of years ago).

I loved the repetition of the moon, love, faith, peace etc. I adored the paintings as well and I loved the variations of length.

Would definitely recommend to those who like poetry
