I think the author did a really good job with the story. Running from a horrible ordeal and haunted by that ordeal, Vanessa learns to cope and trust again. I enjoyed emerging in Jade's BDSM world and watching the development of her characters unfold.

Really enjoyed this escape from Jade Royal! I'm not sure what to label it, but there are elements of romance, sweetness, laughter, suspense, mystery and a WHOLE LOT of erotica and BDSM throughout! Like grab a fan and a towel lol, Nessa and Master J will keep you plenty warm on these frosty winter nights! I loved the emotional build up from two people who were both in their own lives and looking for nothing other than a physical release from their emotional/mental pain. I LOVE power shifts and sub/dom dynamics and these two nailed it ( way to go author, I felt it was conveyed PERFECTLY. Angelica and Ma`ma brought some levity to it all to keep it from getting too much. I look forward to more from this series of interconnected stand alones.
