JVN is a prime example of how happiness is not a weakness - it is a strength. For them to have gone through the terrible ordeals that they have and become famous for a bubbly personality is awe-inspiring. It is also refreshing to read that there is a limit to the bright and bubbliness we seen on screen. JVN has limits and is human, it is not realistic - it is not healthy - to be happy all the time and different situations require different emotions, but as long you can come back to that joyfulness and be happy with who you are, or the progress you're making to become who you are, you're good.

If you know JVN as a personality and love him, you will LOVE this book.
It's raw, honest and I felt all the emotions reading it.
highly recommend if you are a JVN fan.

This is not a ~5-star, omg, everyone needs to read this~ type of memoir like Know My Name or Educated; I think JVN’s best work is on TV/podcast/standup. However, I LOVE that JVN shared his story in this way: fully and charmingly and honestly, despite any reservations he may have had about doing so. Listening to him narrate it was especially lovey.

This book made me love and respect JVN as a son, television star, and gorgeous self care queen, but not so much as an author. Regardless love you Jonathan.

Loved this!! JVN is such a shining star and I loved reading about his life. There’s a lot that puts him in a negative light, but he accepts his mistakes and flaws and doesn’t try to give fake excuses. He knows he’s done some shitty things, but at the end of the day, he’s learned from them and became the QE star we all love!!!
