Although a good read, I  felt author missed out certain bits, then wasted time expanding on other characters flaws.  Not needed

Another one from my very first ‘a box of stories’ box. I really enjoyed it, there were some dark themes to the storyline which could upset some readers. But it all made Lily/ Ruby who she was. I liked the glitz and glamour of the show girl era of Las Vegas. I thought it was a great setting/ backdrop to the story. I’m glad ‘a box of stories’ introduced me to this one.
