Well, Grace and Fury is a very complicated book to rate. I wanted to love it. I did. I just didn’t really love it as much as I thought I would.
I liked what this book was trying to portray. It was supposed to be a story about women who are powerful and who fight for what they want. I really didn’t get that from this book. This book felt rushed and felt like it could have been laid out more.
I feel like the romance between one of the sisters was unnecessary and for the other sister I didn’t feel anything from that romance. It was just kind of there and in the way. I feel like if it was going to portray really strong female characters then romance was unnecessary because the whole point of the book was that women can fight for themselves and they don’t need a man to save them. But then the main characters needed a man to save them.
I really should give this book 1 star but I’m feeling generous. I think the potential was there but it just barely scraped the surface.
