I was quite excited to read this book since I'm quite the Aly Martinez fan! I love her On the Ropes series and I do like her other series. I waited with baited break to get my hands on this one and I started it as soon as I got it.

I really liked the character of Sam! He was such an endearing male who had a hero complex. But, he did realize that Levee had to be the one who ultimately saved herself.

Levee was another thing...I didn't really like her. I tried too since I tend to really like Martinez' female characters. I thought she was annoying and selfish at times. I would actually take a moment to absorb what she said at one part.

I really did like Henry and I can't wait to read his HEA. I loved the banter between Sam and Henry.. I couldn't stop laughing.

One thing that I didn't understand was the pacing. The book had barely started and they were already falling in love.

I was really happy to get another Aly Martinez book and I can't wait to read more of her work in the future, however, this one wasn't a fav of mine although, I did really like it! :)

Yes!

Swoon worthy! Loved Sam!!! Loved levee. Especially loved Henry. He was a hoot! Full of shocks and surprises, but my heart was definitely into this book.
