Omg. Tell me why tf they are perfect for each other. They are like one person. They practically share the same brain.

The snark is funny at first but it gets a bit repetitive. The best part of the book is the cat and it's antics.

It was simultaneously funny and extremely annoying. I started skimming at like 70%. I didn’t find the progression of their relationship very believable and way too much time was spent on the crazy relatives vs their relationship.

The Accidental Girlfriend is Emma Hart's new fake boyfriend, hilarious romance. Emma always entertains me with her funny, sassy characters who get themselves into crazy situations. Lauren is a feisty thing who isn't afraid to be who she is. If you don't like it, you can leave. She's also funny and willing to do anything. Like put an ad out to be a fake girlfriend after her friends give her a hard time for being single. Someone actually answers her ad and he's nothing like she thought he'd be. Mason. He's freaking hot and nice and funny. And he gets her. She's a special brand of nuts and he isn't deterred. They have a fun night together and she gets free food, so that's a win. But after another fake date, real feelings start happening. Neither of them wants a real relationship, but when you meet someone and you just click, you can only say no for so long. Mason totally likes this crazy chick. She's different from his ex and makes him think not all women are cheating jerks. There's just something about her that makes him wish it weren't fake. He's the first to admit it, can he convince Lauren to give them a real shot? I loved this story! It's hilarious, but also sweet. I laughed out loud and shook my head a lot. I wish I could be more like Lauren! Overall, it has the perfect mix of fun, sexy, humor, realness, friendship and family.

"She's change my fucking mind. Hell, I want to date her. Can I have her if you don't want her?"
"Can you have her? Fucking hell, Trev, she's not a leftover slice of cake."
He grinned. "Yeah, but could you imagine if she was?"

"Depends if you fancy something cheesy or saucy."
He flashed me an amused look, lips twitching to the side. "Well, I've got saucy in the seat next to me, so I guess cheesy."

"You run?"
"I don't know if I should be insulted or not."
"No, I just - you don't look like a runner."
"And you don't look like Chris Hemsworth, but here you are on my sofa looking like a dark-haired Norse god. What's your point?"

Well, where do I start?! Maybe with the first line in the book:

“I can’t remember a time where I didn’t have hemorrhoids.”

This had me laughing so hard, because let’s face it: it’s true, but nobody talks about this sh**, only our pink-hair-no-filter-that’s-why-we-love-her author Emma Hart! I never marked so many passages in a book before. This is probably the bestest of best books she has written so far. And I read her books since 2013.

Lauren and Mason meet through an online ad, she put up at a girls night. His sister responded, because she thought he needed a plus one for his school reunion.

The banter between these two, Lauren’s sassy/ironic/sarcastic responses, Mason’s humor, this all had me laughing so hard. I loved these two from the beginning, and also that this was a drama free book! It’s funny, slow-burn, adorable, swoon worthy, and absolutely fantastic!

I kindly received an arc for an honest review

Another accidentally deleted review.

So, I pretty much love all things that I have read by Emma Hart, and I knew I’d have to read this one as soon as I heard about it. It started out a little iffy for me, because while I get why Mason’s sister signed him up for a fake girlfriend, the whole reasoning behind Lauren advertising to do it was a little iffy on actually making sense to me. But that’s okay, because in the end, the whole deal turned out to be as hilarious as Hart’s other books have been. Once again the banter and fun of the characters interactions made this a read that I sped through. This was a very simple story compared to the others that I’ve read. Just basically the fake girlfriend romance you expected. It was pretty predictable, which made it a nice easy summer read. I did enjoy how once again the author weaves the hilariousness of elderly relatives into the family dynamics of her stories. While this isn’t going to go on the top of my list of Emma Hart books, it was a good one.

Snarkiness Reigns

I literally laughed out loud a few times with this is and will be using some of those lines in my own daily snarkiness.

Nothing brilliant but definitely a fun little romantic comedy.
Enjoyed it for what it was. Made me smile.
