This one hit a little different from the first one. Definitely some very specific kinks here, which is fine. Its well written, the characters are interesting and true to their descriptions, the story flows, but I was left feeling off about a few things; the h not being assertive about the things she was uncertain about (babies), and the ending with the Russian mob felt unresolved as there was no actual confrontation for either protagonist (the situation was taken care of of screen by other parties). Other than those items, it was a fairly good story.

Maia is a young Harvard student who one day sees too much and is captured by some bad guys. Enter Calen, who is negotiating with these bad guys, sees Maia and decides to make her part of the deal. He once saw Maia in his nightclub and was immediately drawn to her.
So he takes Maia home as he now has to protect her against the baddies and for her own protection she has to marry him.
Calen is a real alpha and Maia is an innocent young girl, easily swayed. I enjoyed their story.
