I adored the depiction of Jacob and Eve as neurodiverse adults, their romance was adorable, all of the characters were so heartfelt. The only reason this isn't 5 stars was because of the unnecessary and frustrating breakup in the final act, obviously it doesn't stick, but it still irritated me and made this otherwise amazing book less enjoyable.

Third book in this trilogy featuring the Brown sisters. Eve is the youngest and flits like a butterfly from thing to thing, seemingly unable to focus her attention or face adult responsibilities. Her parents put their feet down and give her an ultimatum. They will not give her any more money until she gets a job and keeps it for a whole year. She goes for a drive to clear her head and ends up in a village at a Bed and Breakfast that is interviewing for a new chef. On a whim she goes in and asks to interview. It goes terribly, but she ends up accidentally hitting the owner, Jacob, with her car as she is rushing to leave. She decides to stay and do a trial period as the chef while the owner recovers from his injuries. They desperately need someone to cook and he can't do it at all with one broken arm. It is very awkward and Eve and Jacob seem like total opposites. (Yes, grumpy sunshine trope). But they have more in common than either of them suspect. Again, the humor works for me. I love the plus-sized representation. Both main characters are also neurodiverse. There are very sweet and emotional moments. I really enjoyed this read. Some nice steam, too.

I loved this book! There was a point when I thought this might overtake Dani and Zafir's love story, but ultimately, I hated how the third act breakup happened. Obviously it was resolved, but it just really threw me off (and it was initiated in a weird way!). But Eve and Jacob were so freaking cute. Like, I was obsessed with the two of them and how they communicated. I loved the autistic rep and it left me questioning things about myself. The sex scenes? Ms. Hibbert has outdone herself. Seriously a delight.
