Mischa really surprised me in this book. Like most people I wasn't particularly fond of Mischa. I didn't think she was strong enough to be Max's mate but she proved me wrong. She was strong and level-headed and didn't blame anyone but herself for her mistakes. She was stronger than I would have thought possible and a lot of her attributes surprised me. I am really glad I gave this book a go.

I honestly was not going to review this book, as I have not posted any reviews for the last couple books I have read including the three books that come before this one in this particular series.
I feel the need to review this book to negate all the bad reviews I saw about this book. Some of them were really laughable, I guess because I am a woman of a certain age and have been reading book series for well over 20 years now, I enjoyed this book so much I was finish it in less than 48 hours. Now I only read certain series because I have 2 daughters (19 and 15) who are also avid readers and I like to read what they are to make sure it is okay for them to read.
I liked this book better than the first 2 books in this series, people didn't like Max or Mischa because of the way they acted, however, I thought the plot was done very skillfully. I have read numerous series where if a couple bonds and something happens, the female sometimes does crazy things. I found it to be humorous that one review mentioned this was just a way to get the baby daddy back inline, really if people thought that then they either didn't understand the book or maybe they just skimmed through it.
I will admit that i didn't really like Mischa in books 2 and 3 but after reading this book her actions made sense, she was partially mate bonded with Max and had to watch him lay up with another female, please there are human women who couldn't handle that so I understood. Max's actions were crappy in the previous 2 books but again it was all explained, he was under some sort of magical influence.
I really enjoyed this book to me it was one of the better books in the series and I will say this, this book is for serious readers who are of a certain age, that is who can relate to this story.

The first time I thought we’d see Mischa & Max getting together / their bond clicking in was when she offered to let him feed on her in the sanctuary and then it didn’t happen and the whole fake bond thing happened. I CANT BELIEVE THE WHOLE BOOK IS ON THEM AND THEIR BOND AND WE NEVER GOT TO SEE MAX’S REACTION TO TASTING MISCHA’S BLOOD. You know, being a vampire and considering the other vamp said Jessa tasted amazing!!! Missed opportunity :((

Este libro se lee super rápido, tiene momentos super cute y jugo con mis sentimientos en varias partes.
Mischa: en la trilogía anterior no me había gustado mucho el personaje pero en este libro pude entenderla y me encariñe un montón con ella, creo que fue mi fav del libro.
Max: lo amo y lo amaré siempre. Gracias al cielo que dieron toda la explicación sobre Cardia o iba a morir de tristeza.
La amitad: lo mejor de lo mejor. Amo muchísimo a la manada y me encanta como se apoyan y aceptan todos. Adoro a los Compass emocionados por los bebés.
El trope: lo que menos me convencía sobre el libro era el embarazo pero estuvo muy cute. Ame a Max y Mischa emocionados por ser padres, toda la manada amando a los nuevos miembros y que nazca su bebé con los de Jessa me pareció bonito.
