Last year I fell in love with this world from The Winternight Trilogy. A snowy Russia with house spirits, a girl with special abilities and a Frost King.

Ik the sequel the story continues with Vasaya where we left her. But her we see a girl who is trying to find herself together with her companion horse Solovey.

A becoming of age novel with medium pacing, but with some dips in the middle. However towards the end this book became a real page turner.

These books are perfect reads for winter and if you love horses you are in for a treat.

Liked this one even more than the first book. Thought the scope was a little smaller and the characters better developed than in the first book. Also thought the pacing was better and the twists and intrigue more exciting, while at the same time being easier to follow. Still don't know that the main character is super sympathetic and still a little confused about some of the mythology, but an enjoyable read just the same. Will definitely finish out the trilogy.

Fenomenalna książka, dla czytelników spragnionych słowiańskich akcentów. Nie mam słów, aby opisać to, jak autorka świetnie płynie przez tę historię.

Reread 2023: dalej uważam, że jest fenomenalna

That book was just... wow! From beginning to end I loved it. There were so many twists/revelations some of which I saw coming others I definitely didn't. I fell in love with Vasya even more and little Marya stole my heart.
Vasya and Morozko melted and then broke my heart but I have hope for the 3rd book lol
. I loved seeing more of Sacha in this book as I loved what little we saw of him in the first book but I do hope the 3rd book goes back to Irina and Olyosha as I missed them in this book. Overall, for my first 'adult' fantasy series so far I am loving it
