i think anyone practicing ethical non-monogamy (no matter if they're just starting out or have a lot of experience) could benefit from reading this book. i knew my childhood trauma was impacting how i was engaging in polyamory, and wanted to know what exactly was happening and how to account for it. this book answers both questions. it also helped me somewhat reframe what i already knew of attachment theory. above all, appreciate specific yet adjustable advice for building a secure relationship with your partners and yourself. definitely writing out Fern's HEARTS acronym on a sticky note for myself.
ps. in a funny turn of events, i requested this book from the library because i was struggling with feelings of abandonment and insecurity while in a triad, but when it was time to read the book the triad had already dissolved :)

This book was exactly what I needed to read, whether I knew it or not. Was curious about the non-monogamous aspect but really ended up connecting with the attachment theory segments. Really learned a lot about myself through this book. Tons of info that was broken down super well and made it easy to understand. Lots of reflective questions to go back to.
