3.5! This started our super strong, but ultimately didn’t deliver in ways I hoped. I would’ve liked a more epic, sweeping romance, and slightly more touching family dynamics. It was cute and entertaining though.

This somewhat predictable but adorable love story really made me think about the value we allow objects in our lives to hold. A whimsical tale complete with a love triangle, a snotty magazine boss, and lovely supporting characters made this a page turner… but the cutest part is that the author actually lives on the island where the book takes place! 4 stars!
