Loved loved loved this duet! Everyone else seems to be doing trilogies and then some, but all of the references to Eastern European folklore, the absolute sass (and ass) on Dante, plus the 0 bullshit tolerance on Kit. So happy I picked up book 1 on a free stuff your kindle day

The epic finale to The Cursed Blood duology - the stakes are higher, the romance is spicier and the magic is deadlier. Kitarni was betrayed and left brokenhearted by Dante, but Dante is still her betrothed and she is forced to engage with him. Hungarian folklore is weaved between the pages and creates a magical atmosphere. The characters are pushed to their limits when the Dark Queen threatens to return and the search for the legendary crown proves to be deadly.
I was gripped when I read the first book, but the second book had me wishing I could read faster. I needed to know what happens next but at the same time I didn't want the story to end. This dark fantasy has a morally grey character, witches, dark magic, spice and wolves - what more can you ask for. Dante's caring and protective nature towards Kitarni is exactly why we readers have book boyfriends. I loved every moment of this story, there was never a dull moment in this fast paced fantasy - near the end my heart was in my throat of anticipation. I loved it!
I definitely recommend reading this if you are a fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout, Sarah J. Maas or dark fantasy, you won't be able to put this book down.
Thank you MTMC Tours and the author for gifting me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
