I liked this book, I loved learning about the procedures he did and all the little stories that we got to know. Carson was truly a determined man, and that's admirable. It's a simple read besides the medical terms, but most of it is explained, and we get details on how these happen. All the stories at the end about his patients were truly inspirational. The only reason this isn't a four is because his faith won't work for everyone and he goes back to it a lot. There are other ways to do what Carson did, without that faith, but he makes it sound like he's only this good because of his faith, and while it may be true to him, it might not be for someone who doesn't believe, which could discourage people.

I think I might have read this book sometime a while ago. As I was reading, I kept thinking, I’ve heard this before. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was motivational and insightful. It wasn’t too technical, but it did give the reader a glimpse into Ben Carson’s work. 4.5 stars.

What a fantastic book. My grandpa was in awe over Ben Carson's story and recommended it to me shortly before he passed away. I have thought back to this book many times when I am lacking motivation and it never fails. I loved this book.
