What a treat to find this long-forgotten purchase languishing on my bookshelf and then to discover it is an absolute delight to read. Gorgeous cover too! If only it had been longer...

Set in the 1960s, this is an episodic memoir of a woman travelling rough in India, Nepal and Bhutan. It's written with love, humour and compassion and it has made me look forward to reading more by Marilyn Stablein, who, by the way, has a fascinating website featuring her handmade books and other works of art. https://www.marilynstablein.com/
