story follows a lawyer who defends rapists and offenders who prey on women, without a second thought. She became famous for this and blames women for ”putting themselves in that position”, and as a result every man whose accused of these things runs up to her and she successfully saves his face.
It goes on like this until a highschool friend reaches out to her to save him from a rape accusation, the thing is, she witnessed it happening that night, she saw the girl, she saw the guy. this could've been a perfect place for redemption, a point where she actually stands up for women, for once but no, she instead retracts from the case, doesn't bother saying anything, by the end of the book, she watches everyone trash the girl for speaking up and praise the rapist.
there's also another scene where her dog bites a literal child and she blames the child for petting her dog. All in all, she has passed the point of redemption but hey at least she created a safer environment for rapists.
