Loved this one. Did not see that ending coming AT ALL, and audibly gasped at the reveal! This is the book that sent me down the Kiersten Modglin rabbit hole!

absolutely incredible. started this one at 10pm and stayed up until right now (1 am) only three hours after starting it because i just could not put this one down. i had to know what happened. i’m utterly sick after this book. the emotions it stirred and the fact that i knew i would i read it in a matter of hours had me leaning towards a higher review, but the last chapter solidified this being my first 10/10 for 2023. KMOD continues to blow me away with every book she writes. i already can’t wait to read your next one.

I listened to the audiobook and I keep telling myself to stop doing this, I think it decreases my interest, so read it if you are trying to decide. There is definitely suspense and shock, and surely a twist that caught me by surprise. From the beginning, you find the husband is a creep (in the summary it says, should she stand behind him or walk away and let him pay for sins, so I'm not giving away any secrets here), so I found myself wondering why the hell she is sticking around. I liked the mystery and it kept me interested, It just wasn't 5 star "listen" for me.

Thank you to Kiersten for the ARC copy!
This book was off the charts!! I only expect greatness from Kiersten, and there we have it with this book! She still amazes me everytime!
From the start I was right there with Andi questioning the situation and going through her puzzled thoughts.
This story really makes you think, "How would I handle this situation?"
This book was so intense, mind-blowing, and a wild ride! The twisty twist towards the end had me stunned! Leave it to Kiersten to really rattle my cage. I'm pretty sure this just became my fav of Kiersten's books! She out does herself everytime!

I feel like I say this a lot when I read a Kiersten book... Just go with it. These are super short, fast paced books. I enjoyed this story although I didn't buy into it completely. I did the audio and this one is told from 3 POVs. I loved the lady narration, but the male wasn't that enjoyable for me. The end was just perfect. So grab this one and I hope you enjoy it.
