This is had such a 13 Ghosts vibe with the cast of ghosts haunting a group a friends! Great atmospheric creepy read! Slow to start but ends with a bang! Loved the detailing on the ghosts, you could really envision each one as they appeared. Loved the beginning with the seance, and the more brutal ending! Definitely will check out other books by this author!

The book was good! It was full of ghostly action. I felt it was more YA, maybe because the group of kids were all in college so at times I felt like it was a bit juvenile however it was an excellent read and the END,…………SPOOKED ME. I’m assuming there will be another book? Left me a tad startled. Excellent first novel for this author.

such a good book especially if you love ghost and possession stories. The ending had me looking to see if there was another book since it was left open for one! Would definitely recommend!

The Suffering is one of the best haunted house books I've read in a long time. The ghosts all had interesting back stories, and I wish that aspect had been delved into a bit deeper. Overall, it was pretty creepy and the ending was awesome. 4.5 stars, rounded up.

This book was just what I needed to get me out of a reading slump. It’s captivating, full of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, contains multiple povs (that I love), and it offers insight to not just the current lineup of characters but also the house itself and the ghosts involved. It’s reminiscent of all my favorite horror movies like A Haunting in Connecticut, Thirteen Ghosts and The Haunting of Hill House. So, if that’s the vibe you’re in to, you’ll love it.
