At once practical and fantastical, this poetry collection reads like a love song to books and fairy tales and flight. Campbell manages to bring these things together seamlessly and beautifully.

Probably more of a 4.5-5 stars. Might have to think about this for a while before I put a more exact and accurate rating.

I pretty much devoured this short little poetry pamphlet. All the proceeds from the sale of the pamphlets went to the Book Bus charity, which was a charity I was unaware of until Jen Campbell mentioned it at the start of the project, so I am happy to have contributed in my own way.

This is a very readable collection, and there are some little gems throughout. I particularly enjoyed the poem on introversion (poem 68), as well as poems 70, 77, 80, 94, 26, 17, and 18. I know these numbers will make no sense to anyone who doesn't have the pamphlet to hand, but I believe you can find all the poems on the website 100poemchallenge.blogspot.co.uk - please do check it out if you haven't already!

I am in awe that Jen managed to write 100 poems in 2 days, a feat I could never achieve myself. The pamphlet itself with the cover illustration by Leo Nickolls is stunning in its simplicity, and I look forward to returning to these poems at a later date.

18, 19, 47, 56, and 81 I think were the best and really spoke to me. A couple I didn't really get and some I viewed more as lists than actual poems but overall it was decent. Especially since it was written as one poem every day for 100 days

Objectively this probably wouldn't gather five stars, but I'm not objective when the words inside fit me so incredibly well. Jen Campbell writes my kind of poetry. Even when she does it in a short time span for charity. <3

Jen is just fucking fantastic. Her poems are so strange and mythical and fairytale inspired and just beautiful. I loved all of them. Some were very short and some were longer, but I loved that contrast, it shows how anything can be poetry. Whizzed through this. It's so gorgeous.

I wish I owned the actual limited edition pamphlet, but these and be read on the 100 poems challenge blog instead!

A pretty unconventional collection of poems, both mystical and sentimental.

You bury yourself in books to see if you exist somewhere else.
To see if someone imagined you before your mother birthed you.
To see if you tumbled out of a storybook and straight into her womb.

All the words
from all the books
are tangled
up inside me.

Bravo Jen! I don't read much modern poetry, but if this is any indicator of quality it's something I need to remedy. I'll probably buy [b:The Hungry Ghost Festival|15731279|The Hungry Ghost Festival|Jen Campbell|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1341162732s/15731279.jpg|21411198] next week.

I feel so lucky to have one of these super limited edition poetry books, written in aid of charity.

Campbell's love of fairy tales and magical realism shines through in these whimsical, playful, dreamlike poems. It's a collection I know I'll dip in and out of many times.

Oh, and take a look at that glorious cover.
