This was really cute and meaningful and I love the color palette throughout. I’d read another book about these two for sure.

Somebody out there really wanted to be an apologist for Terminators...
But in truth, this is definitely a simpler, more lowkey take on how when something, or someone, new pops up in life, there's going to be prejudice. Not outright hate since they're already here and they're part of society already, but the little things that make the other seem less than human. In this case, yes, they aren't human, but there's an undeniable humanity to these metal people.
In this case of rival artists having to learn to work together, it is a gradual breaking down of walls & prejudices for one, and the growth of character for the other to be accepted as more than just a robot.

What's fascinating is that both are technically 2nd generation, with the human being a child of immigrants and the robot-gal being a noticeably newer model than her "parents" so there's definitely a common ground they can build a relationship from.
Whoops, a relationship? Spoilers, but if you paid attention to the dust jacket or the tags, this is a rivals-to-friends-to-lovers story. So yeah, it's pretty fluffy&cute at times.
And there ain't nothing wrong with that unless you REALLY despise the idea of kissing a computer.

Did not vibe with this one a whole lot... I've definitely read worse though. The characters were fine and the plot was whatever. The art was pretty but a bit generic. Just nothing in here that really wowed me.

Such gorgeous art, and wonderful use of a limited palette! I liked the story and characters as well, unfortunately the book felt too short to make a very big impact or have a coherent point. Themes/ideas/comparisons I was really interested in came up but hadn't really been discussed by the ending. I would still recommend it to anyone one the fence about picking it up, though!

I like the idea here, even if the story itself felt unfinished to me. The style and layout choices are very cool, I think I just wanted a little more from it. There's this question throughout about AI profiling that made me think that there was going to be a deeper message here that, at least for me, didn't quite come through.

Sapphic robots and AI ethics are still compelling, though. :)
