The sex scenes and descriptions of sex/foreplay were absolutely awful. Going from the feeling of red wine to the feeling of your husband inside you. Sperm and wine aren’t even the same consistency. it is just god fucking awful. Leave the sex scenes to the smut authors.

This is not really a thriller. I don't know what category to put it in and when books don't fit neatly into a genre people tend to be overly critical. I would call this contemporary fiction? It's enjoyable, a good beach read in my opinion. I do feel like the plot has borrowed a little too much from Big Little Lies. But overall it's a fun read.
