I love this series. I love Greek mythology so the myths and characters used from ancient Greek history and mythology were welcoming and felt comfortable. The inclusion of Medea in anything sets off alarm bells for me, but she is quite fascinating. Medea aside, I loved the story of Hero and her brothers, and how they grew. I am now looking forward to re-reading book three, having read that one first for the NSW Writer's Centre.
