The amount of research this author did was quite extensive. It highlighted the many struggles it took to pave a way for women in medicine. It is certainly inspiring the amount of dedication and drive it took to create history.
Although there is a plethora of information in this book, there is also some that was left out. It mainly follows three different women who pioneered this moment, but there were many others.

Interesting topic and the author did extensive research. The writing is too casual/colloquial and at times distracted from the subject.
A list of the women would have been helpful - many had the same first name.
