I purchased this book purely because I heard Emma Myers, whom I’m a big fan of, will be starring in the TV adaption. I didn’t expect to get into it at all, I just wanted to be in the loop, but OH MY GOD I was so wrong. I swear, there was not a SECOND that I knew where this book was going to go. I was so interested that whenever I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about reading it; haven’t felt that with a book in a while. Also, I love Pip. She’s perfect and can do anything she wants <3

A cute YA mystery. I'm at the age where the thought of a teen solving a crime is silly to me but I enjoyed the book. I liked that Pip was a more straight-laced person; I thought she was cute. I liked her relationship with her friends and Ravi.

The mystery... I basically knew the killer from the moment they were introduced as a suspect. I don't really mind if I solved the mystery or if I don't solve the mystery before the main character. For mystery/thrillers, I'm just on for the ride. There were quite a few twists and red herrings, and a part of me was like "can we get on with it." But, I didn't get too bored with this book.

A surprisingly fun and fast read. I read it in one day because I couldn’t put this book down. The audiobook was great as well. The only thing I didn’t like was that the characters are kinda bland and didn’t have a story to them.

I really was not expecting to love this YA murder mystery as much as I did, but how can one not? The way Holly Jackson wrote this plot and her characters just makes you love them and root for them no matter what. Honestly, it felt so real and it was like a warm hug (somehow?? even though its literally about murder...) I just adore this book to death.
