Oh gosh, my heart. The love in this collection. The opening up of self. The opening up of words, stanzas. The energy, the vulnerability, the hope.

F-ing amazing poems. Heartfelt, angry, joyful, anguished, grounded and transcendent.

Some of the best poetry I've read. Heartwrenching, gripping, so so good.

“friend, you are the war’s gentle consequence” (77)

Beautiful, brutal, bloody, and gritty. These prose are protests, the writing a writhing against silence and silencing. This collection is a friend, a homie who tells you how it is whether you like it or not. Always with love.

Highly recommend!
