This one lays it allllllll out. I loved reading about the worlds and all their nuances, I loved the deep exploration into how systems on Anarres worked, I loved the characters and the energy and the reflectiveness from the narrator. I loved the estimation of futuristic technology without being too far-fetched - the author describes things that she can estimate and that makes it feel more fulfilling to read. I loved everything about this book.

The high level plot points are predictable, the protagonist is a Mary sue, and the slow pace is tedious at times- but the story contains many pockets of beautifully stated, rather astute reflections (many of which are criticisms) of society, the human experience, and our relationship with time. I found myself underlining the most quotable bits of these moments. And the world building is great.
