This been sitting on my eBook reader for awhile now.

It's one of these story collections where it feels wrong to say "I liked it" or "I enjoyed it", because there is some seriously dark stuff underlying most of these tales. Child negligence, abuse, pedophilia ... it's a collection that almost should come with a warning.
Mind, none of these are explicitly shown or talked about, sometimes it's just hinted at between the lines, lurking in the character's past.

I do have to say that the author has a talent for narrating a story that draws you in and keeps your attention to the full. The stories themselves play out quick, often without much depth to it, but filled with a sense of humanity and hope amidst the darkness.

"Mourning Glory" is in my opinion the most complex among them.
"6oo Moons" perhaps the darkest with its not quite outspoken terror.
