I LOVED this book.

I bought this at the same time as Caraval but read OUABH first because I knew I'd love it. I haven't read Caraval yet but I didn't need to read it to understand the plot or what was going on because it explained everything so well.

This book was the perfect blend of romance and desire with no smut! Highly addictive and I would definetely recommend.

The only reason why I would not give this 5 stars is because of the ending. I felt like it was a little sudden and could have been better to leave it more on a cliff hanger. The ending still made sense, just when I finished I was sat there like "is that is?? There's no more?"

Stephanie girl. I'm on the hospital and without the sequel, leaving me on a cliffhanger is rude af.

But listen, I had a good ass time. I laughed, I was shocked, I was swooning and I'm freaking obsessed. What a way to start the reading year.

Solid start to the series. The writing is BEAUTIFUL and magical. The beginning scene about the bell being described with humanistic concerns is a good example. The ending was a lot to process. Wow wow wow.
