Sweet read that is easy to dip in and out of. Obviously a long read, kind of feels like a comfort show you can have on in the background at times.

4.5⭐️ This book was so so good! My only complaint is that it was 100 pages too long. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Very sweet, I ended up enjoying it a little more than I expected during the exposition. The characters and their budding romance were executed well, I only thought it was odd that Charlotte never talked much about the closet with even her brother and his boyfriend.
edit: The more I think about it the less I like the status of the political setting in the novel, it is less grating in this one compared to other contemporary romance novels that change certain aspects of global or american politics as to not have to engage with the real life travesty of the state of things. But it still doesn't sit super well with what I want out of a queer romance, especially because Charlotte is directly involved in politics.

one of favourite romantic tropes is character a taking care of overworked, workaholic character b when they’re sick and this book served.
the book itself also had another one of my favourite aspects and that’s the text love story. when sutton discovers she’s bisexual, she joins this app sapphicspark at the insistence of her friend and starts a conversation with lesbian charlotte, who is a politician running for office. what began as a friendship where charlotte helps sutton discover more about dating women, grows into more when their in real life worlds collide.
the romance was so sweet and the characters were relatable. charlotte with her confidence and ambition. sutton with her kind and loving nature.
