Cute story, golden retriever mmc, and a swooney ending that I could see happening in real life and not just a hallmark movie.
A downside: This is the only book I’ve read in the series, and it’s difficult because a few couples are frequently mentioned with hints at their backgrounds, but it isn’t enough to keep any of them straight if you don’t remember them from previous books. It’s easy enough to ignore, but it lessened my enjoyment of the book a little.
CW/TW: a small reference to purity culture (mentioning because it made a spicy scene a bit awkward and because some just don’t want to read that).
