I was so anxious getting into this book, because as Mikaela Loach herself mentions these kinds of books can send you into a spiral of inaction 😫 It is tough fucking work!

However, this was such a brilliant book. It was matter of fact but also had glimmers of hope. I felt as though I could actually work on climate action in a more sustainable way.
The fact that shook me to my core was that on average, the carbon emissions one person produces in a year in Jamaica equates to the carbon emissions one person produces a DAY in the United Kingdom 😳 Yet the people in Jamaica were some of the most heavily affected 🫠

I know I’m a big consumer of clothes so I’m going to try and hold myself accountable to be more sustainable here 🥰
4 out of 5 stars, thank you ✨
