This book started off really intriguing, but as I read on, it felt like the author ran out of ideas and was just trying to fill the pages. It seemed to me like the author had this amazing concept for the book, but then couldn't figure out how to keep it going.

I had too many books checked out on Libby and something had to give. May or may not return to this in the future

I don’t often give 5 stars to non-fiction books but this one has it all. King clearly understands the problems we face this day and age. AND he provides a clear, simple, and often funny approach to dealing with them.

Too basic, too privileged and too narcissistic, mildly funny ,repetitive and not a self help book, invalidating at times. If you have any diagnosis probably not helpful for you, maybe with the exception of sleep apnea. If you can get your stress response down by changing your thoughts then great,if you have to do it through the body skip this book and look into free online videos on tapping, trauma release exercises, somatic  experiencing and havening.

The Google play books extended sample should give you an idea if you want to use it to send you to sleep or if it's annoying, although the free podcast Nothing much happens is much better to relax and fall asleep to imho but is a female voice.

I was nervous that this was going to be repetitive, and it was in terms of the brand he's sticking to that involves bears and traffic, but there are so many useful tidbits and reminders in this book nevertheless. I also laughed out loud a TON all throughout the book. The guy's sarcasm is unmatched. Reading this gave me the motivation to start journaling and expressing gratitude again. It has also helped shift my mindset when it comes to little things I stress over for no reason. I'm glad I decided to pick this one up on a whim!
