Ended up skimming through the bits about the grandparents, way too long and underwhelming for what it was

If I could rate this book from 1 to 5, I definitely would rate it 7. For all my 20 years, nothing made me feel and think so much. I didn’t cry, but felt that place behind my chest is sore incredibly strong.

Just not sure what I think of this book. It was complicated and confusing and incredibly sad. I'll be thinking about it for a while.

Forever favorite.

This book shaped who I am as a reader and writer. This book is so many things, as is Foer's magnificent writing. It's devastating, beautiful, powerful. And I'm an absolute sucker for multilayer storytelling.
