DNF: mostly outdated and quite extreme. Many of the medications and things have been replaced since this book has been written. It Has some good info but I feel like it’s too outdated to be super relevant today. I think the idea about weighing risks and benefits for yourself and your kids is wonderful.

This books includes a lot of easy-to-read information for how to deal with most common childhood problems without running to the doctor for every single thing. It's been very helpful for me, so that I don't overreact to simple problems, but also recognize instances that do need assistance.

Perhaps a tad light on what TO do for my children. That said, an absolutely invaluable guide to what NOT to do in order to raise a healthy child. Chapter 19 and 20 alone were worth the price of the book.

Dr. Mendelsohn was ahead of his time in many ways such as his warnings about overuse of antibiotics and vaccines.
