4.5 stars… I’m not sure what’s holding me back from 5 but it wasn’t quite there.

This is a heartbreaking yet hopeful story of broken children, child services and what truly makes family and what makes us whole. This is a powerful look at love, loss and healing. It is an exploration of cruelty and of kindness. I couldn’t put it down.

A book about family, love, acceptance and second chances. I really enjoyed it and wish there had been an epilogue on how each of the characters turned out.

I loved this book. I was pulled in by the characters and their struggles. I found myself rooting for them even when they made mistakes.

Beautiful characters that love each other so dearly it sometimes goes unnoticed. The longest love letter I've ever read, magnificent.

4.5/5 stars.
This was an excellent and engrossing family saga. So much love, self realization, and trauma. I loved this imperfect family.
