The first book was better but I still liked this one. I understand the ending was left open for future books but I think it may have been better to tie things up - how much older can Alan get?

This story is in the same vain as Forrest Gump as the 101 year old man goes on adventures that are being ones imagining. The entertaining element was the author's opinion of country leaders.
This book is solely for entertainment, as most books are but this one does not make you think. It is more of a guilty pleasure.
