VERY hard to read, not because it was difficult, but because it was so dark. If you want to read a book that makes you hate cis-men and small southern towns, I have the one for you. It's GRAPHIC and violent, and relentless. 

It's a good story, though.

My only other complaint is how wordy Slaughter tends to be. She describes everything in such detail and it feels unnecessary. Describing every movement taken to check an email on a phone is too much. This book could've used a good culling of extra prose.

I love Karin Slaughter and this books was great as I expected. It started out intense and fast, but then slowed down and drug a little in some parts. But then the ending swoops in with a bunch of twists and turns.

I felt like some parts were redundant and some were confusing. But I loved the relationship between Lenore and rusty and rusty and the daughters and ben and Charlie
