I liked this one better then the first surprisingly but again please do read the trigger warnings they where at the back of the book for me 😊

PSA- there is a recap of book 1 at the beginning.

The pacing of this book really picked up at 40% through. I loved the depth Jenna added to each of the characters and while many questions were answered- more were surfaced and I can’t wait to read about them in book 3.

I wish I enjoyed this more but I just can't take any character seriously. It always feels like the author had a good idea in her head but on paper it became this cringy dialogue. I can't describe it but I don't feel any of it. Am I supposed to fear Oberon? Cause I don't. Should I care for Tessa's traumatic experiences? I don't because she doesn't either.
What was the point of her mother? I think not even the author knows. At least she got rid of her at the end of the book.

I could also live without the intimate scenes. Those were the worst chapters for me. I've read better spicy fanfiction written by fangirls. This was not it. I don't want to imagine her "toes curling" or the Mist King asking her if she likes what she sees. Please.. This girl never had sex before.

I enjoyed the story more when it was about meeting each other in her dreams. That had more tension and felt more meaningful than whatever came after.

I just couldn't do it anymore. It was way too repetitive, kept talking the same things but never really getting anywhere with it.
