Heaven has such an interesting way of portraying children witnessing and experiencing so much pain while still debating on morality, guilt, and what could be categorized as Heaven. Loved the choice of not including the main character's name but only refer to him as what he sees himself and what the he thought was the thing that brought him so much suffering. 

Weird, reflective and tragic is how i would describe this story. Careful with the trigger warnings.

Wow this book made me so uncomfortable. Heed the content warnings! There were some interesting philosophical questions brought up, and I like how Kawakami writes characters who are children.
