I couldn’t continue this book. The setting and side characters were charming but the amount of time the author spent talking about how the adult male protagonist was lusting after a minor disgusted me. It was unnecessary to include that and there are many ways a fateful re-encounter could have been written. I wanted to like this book but couldn’t get past the blatant and completely avoidable pedophilia.
