Audiobook Hoopla - almost dnf’d this as it started as a very taboo and age inappropriate relationship but the past revenge story was unbelievable.

I feel so bad for the teacher, to have been beaten to death as a result of these kids and their lies.

Not sure if I want to read part 2 to see how horrible Damien makes Eden’s life to get revenge on Cain. Honestly the inclusion of Eden in this first books seems unnecessary and would probably fit better in the 2nd book.

Loved the plot and the shifting dynamic between the 2mmcs. I’ve read the ebook version before so knew all the plot twists before going in but it didn’t loose any of the anticipation. Was a bit disappointed with dual narration as the narration of the mmc within the fmc’s PoV chapters didn’t shift between the characters and vice versa so that was a bit annoying

This was straight up SMUT. So. Much. Spice. The twist at the end was good, sets up the motivation for the next book nicely.

I tried this book for the 2nd time and I could not get over the feeling of grooming in the book.

Spoiler warning:

A girl whose mom has locked her in the house from the age of 12 gets married a few years later for political gain. The step dad is closer to the girls age than mom's, after her mom died he becomes her caretaker. A few weeks before she turns 18 things progress. It's just gross.
