Can I give a book 4.75 stars?? Not quite perfection, but oh my gosh I love this book so much and will absolutely rave about it. Idk honestly I feel like I'm being very harsh by not giving it a full 5, but there was just one very small thing with the timing at the end that brought it down for me. But WOW, I am once again impressed by Kristin Hannah.

This is the perfect book to get us Yellowstone fans through until the new season premiere in November. Beautiful setting, cowboys, ranch politics, forbidden love and lots of family drama make this book perfect for those looking for an escape out west! KH is the queen of writing dysfunctional, yet strong sibling relationships and TRUE COLORS will be one I recommend often!

The back cover copy:
āThe Grey sisters have always been close. After their motherās death, the girls banded together, becoming best friends. Their stern, disapproving father cares less about his children than about his reputation. To Henry Grey, appearances are everything, and years later, he still demands that his daughters reflect his standing in the community.
Winona, the oldest, needs her fatherās approval most of all. An overweight bookworm who never felt at home on the sprawling horse ranch that has been in her family for three generations, she knows that she doesnāt have the qualities her father values. But as the best lawyer in town, sheās determined to someday find a way to prove her worth to him.
Aurora, the middle sister, is the family peacemaker. She brokers every dispute and tries to keep them all happy, even as she hides her own secret pain.
Vivi Ann is the undisputed star of the family. A stunningly beautiful dreamer with a heart as big as the ocean in front of her house, she is adored by all who know her. Everything comes easily for Vivi Ann, until a stranger comes to town....
In a matter of moments, everything will change. The Grey sisters will be pitted against one another in ways that none could have imagined. Loyalties will be tested and secrets revealed, and a terrible, shocking crime will shatter both their family and their beloved town.ā
The good: Hannah really makes the reader have feelings for each of the characters, though not always in a positive light. She also does a great job writing the relationships between the family members. Families are not always cut and dried, sometimes they are sticky and messy, and Hannah makes the reader care about this hot mess of a family.
Also, when the story got rolling, it was hard to put down.
The bad: It took too long for the story to get rolling. Iāve given up on Hannahās books before for their slow starts, and Iām glad I pushed forward with this one. It was worth the wait.
The ending was predictable, but the roller coaster of emotions on the way there makes it forgivable.
