Sweet and predictable without being saccharine. Really enjoyed the characters and thought there were a few more unexpected twists than you typically see in these cozy/romance-y reads. Of course the ending was too pat and perfect, but what else would you want from a comfort read? Interested to find that this is a series and will save the others for a time when I need a little fluffy comfort in my reading life.

The charm here, aside from the fact that I love books about people starting over, is the decent amount of detail about the baking. Sure, many of the details are glossed over, but a town where everyone lives good bread and eats it every day? Sign me up! A charming, easy read that had me smiling and crying.

I absolutely loved this book - especially Neil! :) It's a lovely easy read and I would highly recommend it! I'll definitely be reading more of Jenny Colgan's books.
