This book is definitely feeling its age. It was published in 2010 and we get multiple on page sex scenes with other people, bc they keep missing chances with each other. It is plotted like a romcom and while I could appreciate it was different, when they finally get together, it just ... ends. Not much rom, and the com was ... interesting. There was a scene where it turned out a guy who seemed otherwise unobjectionable had kept a labeled and dated collection of full condoms from previous sexual encounters. Like, YIKES

This book came highly recommended and for me it was just kinda meh.

It took too long to get the MCs together, there was a lot of miscommuncation/lack of communication that prevented them from getting together. And that's one of my biggest peeves in a book. It seems to be something most MM authors think needs to be part of their book. :\

Paul, IMHO, completely overreacted their initial meeting, which set off a series of events that could have been avoided.

I understand there needs to be a story, but for me this was like "you guys are attracted to each other, do something about it instead of pining for a whole summer."

I'd say 2.5 stars, but rounding up to 3.
